Winnipeg police to provide update on Red River Trail sex assault investigation
Winnipeg police will be providing an update Friday morning on the investigation into a series of sexual assaults along the Red River Trail.
On Aug. 27, Winnipeg sex crimes investigators arrested a suspect in connection with the sexual assault of a teenage girl along the river trail near Churchill High School.
Jordan Andrew Bruyere, 29 â€" who was wanted on charges of sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and sexual assault â€" was taken into custody.

Prior to the arrest, police had publicly released surveillance footage of man wearing all black, described as a “person of interest†in the case.
